Game Rules

Mahjong is a four-player game, and the objective is to complete a winning hand consisting of four sets (which can be either triples or sequences) plus one pair.

How the Game Works:

Every player starts with 13 tiles, and the dealer starts with 14 tiles.

Players take turns drawing and discarding tiles with the goal of completing a winning hand.

The first player to complete four sets (triples or sequences) and one pair declares “Mahjong” and wins the game!

The game continues until someone wins or all the tiles have been drawn and discarded.

Tile Combinations to Know:

Pong: Three identical tiles (e.g., three 2s of Bamboo).

Chow: A sequence of three consecutive tiles in the same suit (e.g., 4-5-6 of Circles).

Kong: Four identical tiles (this grants the player an additional turn).

Pair: Two identical tiles (e.g., two 8s of Characters).

Once a player forms four sets and one pair, the game concludes, and the final scores are calculated based on the completed hand.
